What is Telemedicine?

Telemedicine is a subset of telehealth in which medical information is exchanged from one site to another via electronic communications to improve a patient's clinical health status during a remote clinical service.  It involves the use of mobile wireless technologies.

Why cash only?

1. A direct primary care (DPC) practice is one that does not bill insurance companies but rather bills patients directly for services.  Such a practice usually does not have contracts with insurance companies and thus is considered out-of-network.

2. Benefits of a cash-based practice include, but are not limited to, increased access to the provider (no more waiting months to see your provider), a lot more time spent between patient and provider/no rushed visits (no insurance means no rules or limitations to how long the provider must spend with the patient), and therefore, no long waits in the waiting room.  DPC focuses on you and your health at a time most convenient for you and your schedule.

3. Best of all, telemedicine allows all of the above from the convenience of home or wherever you find yourself.
